I thought I heard more of Dylan and the Band than anything remotely America. My wife had a good influence observation, but I can't remember who it was.

I think it sounds a lot Josh Rouse's recent stuff which leans heavily on the 70s.

I think the album starts off very strong.... and then ..... kinda just hangs out there.

I would disagree. I think tracks 10 and 11 (Walken and What Light) are two of the strongest tracks.

How is it that people can't like late era Wilco?  There are songs on YHF and AGIB that are their best.
