Turgeon is your typical spineless French twat, if you don't like to get hit, take up basketball.

On the subject of classless...wasn't Courtnall a Blue?

actually Russ never was, but they did talk about trying to get him at some point

It was during the playoffs and Turgeon was over- celebrating in the Caps "house". As captain, Hunter was sending a message for the next game...not saying it's right, but he was a good captain doing what captains should do. He got his 21 game suspension, which would've been a 5 game suspension for anyone else. Tucker makes worse checks than that every game and gets squat...the ban was just a joke, and only because it was Hunter.

Now...do you remember why the Blues got Geoff "runaway" Cournall?

Sorry, I may be thinking of Doug Gilmour and why we got rid of him.

Not a young girl...and old slapper. Remember the incident outside Champions in G'towne when she went in the limo with a bunch of Caps players and obviously had a bit of who'syerdaddy with a couple of them. The next day she decides she was raped ($$$$$  :D  ) but after a grand jury no charges were filed, and if I remember I believe she was actually charged with filing false charges. Courtnall, Cicarelli, Stevens and Johanson were all in the limo at the time, but Courtnall was the only yellow little shit who wanted to be traded out of Washington. The others faced the music because nothing bad had gone on.

I vaguely remember that now, that is four damn good players at that time.  If he had been stolen from us after just a year I think Stevens would probably be my favorite player ever.  The Blues paid out the nose for that 1 year of Stevens, but he was great then.

Thanks Jadetree...I enjoyed that article, although I don't agree with Oates philosophy. Teams only "rent" players for their benefit, not the player's. So if a team signs anyone for a playoff run it's because they feel they need that player so he's every bit a part of that team, he's the link they've been missing. Colorado signed Hunter, and then Bourke with the player's career in mind, but they wouldn't have done it had they not thought the player could improve the team.

From the BBC world service.

 Seaman to join Man City

Seaman ended his Arsenal career on a high
 His final hurrah
Photos of his highs and lows
 Career facts and figures
Manchester City have confirmed that David Seaman has agreed a one-year contract to join the club.
City manager Kevin Keegan was known to be on the trail of the out-of-contract Arsenal and England goalkeeper as a replacement for Peter Schmeichel.

Keegan worked with Seaman when he was coach of the England team.

After 13 seasons with Arsenal, the 39-year-old was told by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger he would not be first choice next season - although he was offered a one-year contract with the promise of a place on the club's coaching staff.

There's going to be bodily fluids all over that new stadium the City of Manchester just GAVE them...semen in the goal area and shite everywhere else!

You know that EVERYONE except Devils fans are behind the Ducks.....fate is on the Ducks side too, because the home team can't win every game in a series....I think 3-1 for the Duckies!

I tend to agree with you now - especially after Kariya's legendary performance Saturday night.

While the league says that Stevens' hit was legal, it was not clean by any stretch of the imagination.  It was a cheap shot at best.  I didn't think we'd see Kariya until December at the earliest.

Anyhow, if anyone is interested, I'll be at the Park Bench Pub (Cleveland Park, the old Club Soda if you're old enough to remember that place) tonight to watch Game 7.  I won't be the friendliest person while the game is on, but in between periods I can be fun.  It won't be hard to find out which person in the bar is vansmack.
