Against Me! / Blood Brothers roll call

Tuesday, Oct. 26, Black Cat mainstage
 
 I don't know how many of you have heard Against Me!, but they're the best punk band out there right now, IMHO ... they're from gainesville, fl (hot water music, et al) and have a huge underground following with punk kids from touring non-stop and playing blistering basement sets ...
 
 allmusic describes them (in their 4 star review of their major label debut "...As The Eternal Cowboy") as combining poppy punk rock with leftist politics, Billy Bragg's raspy anti-folk, and the Replacements' beer-soaked version of Americana.
 
 I saw them at 930 club last fall as part of a bigger bill, and they put on a hell of a show.
 
 This kid I grew up with is their drummer, but I'm not just pimping them because of that, they're really really solid.
 
 Worth $10 on an otherwise dead Tuesday.

dead tuesday?  are you kidding me?  bad religion is playing 5 blocks away on the same night.  i dig against me! but i'm not missing bad religion at the 930 club.  its also a better bill with rise against.
