That guy at the City Paper can kiss my ass. He went to the Riggs Road location and got shit. Lesson: don't go to Riggs Road, go to Greenbelt instead.

There has always been a designated 'Pizza Night' in my family, usually from Voce's or M & N's. Unfortunately, DC isn't rife with great pizza joints like NYC or Chicago.

Isn't there a place in Dupont Circle that sells slices like the ones in the picture Betty posted?

 Does the Birchmere sell pizza?

Pagliacci Pizza in Seattle is what I grew up thinking great pizza is supposed to be.
Turns out, it is the best pizza.

I used to love pizza until I had to take a pizza delivery job with pizza hut while paying a lawyer for a custody battle with my ex-BIATCH! Because I was as poor as a church mouse I basically ate the reject pizza's every night and so came to hate the stuff.

Now I enjoy a pizza once a month or so.

There was a whole article in the Palm Beach Post recently about why the pizza sucks down here...of course it was all the New Yorkers whining about how you can't get good pizza outside of New York city, which is about as tired as the old "all brits have bad teeth" line. Anyway, there's one pizza place down here that has NY tap water shipped down to make it's pizza and that won the award for best pizza in the area. Personally I haven't a clue which place it was because I really don't care.

The place in Hampden is Angelos.  Their slice is almost twice the size of a jumbo slice in Adam's Morgan.

The best pizza in Baltimore (in my opinion) is from Pasta Mista in Towson, across from the Mall.  Real NY style...worth the 20 minute drive every time.
