You said it....a great freaking show.  Arthur sounded......he sounded fucking fantastic!

Although my buzz from this show is certainly shaved by news of E. Smith's  passing.

That really was a great show. I had to keep pinching myself. I still find it hard to believe his voice is so good and that those songs could possibly sound better than they do on the recording.

Thanks for the push into going Kosmo and man who begins with M.

As it stands that is not vying for best show of the year, but best I have ever seen.

All you crazy people shoulda gone.

Great show! Singer with an amazing soulful voice, talented backing band with added tastful string and horn accompaniment.   The nearly full Birchmere audience digging every minute of the show.  Very few artists can so easily slip between garage rock raves up to songs that would make a belle and sebstaine fan tear up.

Love's classic "Forever Changes" should be required listening for all Echo and Bunnymen and Belle & Sebstaine fan.  Hell "Forever Changes" is just required listening to anyone that considers themselves a serious rock fan.  You can really hear Love influence in the guitar and bass lines of those great post-punk bands.    Several members of Fugazi were spotted at the show.

I'd like to see Love again if only so that can rip through more of the pre "Forever Changes" songs.  This band influcenced such 60's contemporaies as The Rolling Stones and The Doors.

Great show, so very glad I got a chance to see it in DC and in such an intimate setting.

I was sorry they didn't play "Signed DC".  That, and the idiot behind me yelling "Little Red Book!" throughout the set were the only (minor) dissapointments.

When they finally did play Little Red Book he started yelling "Hey Joe!", which Arthur didn't even sing on the first Love album.

A great night.  Our seats were great!

i think a fine system should be implemented for people who request "freebird" at any show other than a lynyrd skynyrd.  it was funny the first i heard it in the 80's not so much anymore

Yeah I heard that guy too!  What's sadder is he acutally got some chuckles from the audience.

It made me chuckle.

It was just such a silly heckle and something about its deliverey in amongst all the Love song requests, made it hilarious.
