In terms of the events that transpired, Kosmo is right. It's best to just let old news remain old news. For any of those who were personally involved in that thread and still feel the need to talk about it, I'd be happy to oblige you in person, face to face. For those who weren't personally involved in it, well there are many, many other more interesting things in the world for you to know about than that whole story. Go out and seek those more interesting things.

I don't really feel the need to post that much on this board. While there is a bit of overlap, I don't find many threads here which are about bands that I like, or music that I like. Once you break the habit of habitual posting, it's actually pretty easy not to post.

The Constantines...I think we figured out that we just don't like music where the singer shouts or screams. We like it when the singer actually sings. In that respect, we didn't like the Thermals either, though the girl in the band was definitely ok to look at.

Actually what he did in New York was interesting. Its is well worth reading. It is a shame for this board to not get that material. I wonder what was wrong with the constantines?

Rhett never left the board, so the point is moot.

Habit still biting bad, huh Rhett?

I was a "lurker" during the whole thing. I "saw" it all go down. I'm not talkin' though, so don't ask. I just couldn't contain or maintain, or abstain from posting my observation about the ridiculousness of this group!

Then why lurk? Don't you have better things to do than lurk on a ridiculous board?

a guy from my high school class is in the thermals.  aside from the generalization of a "bad band," what did they sound like?

sorry, i posted this before finishing the thread, but the question still stands. . .

I don't really know enough about their genre, if there is one, to make comparisons. Their sound (not including the singing) was not bad, though pretty repetitive, sort of hooky punk lite. I just don't like music where the lyrics are shouted rather (e.g. punk rawk) than sang. Sorry I'm not much help. They were way better than the Constantines, for what it's worth.
