geez... it's was a saturday some of us have other things to do besides give lengthy answers to people seeking info on unannounced shows.  my take is its only official when the club announces a show, as even bands websites can have tentative info.  tours get cancelled, rearrange etc.  i wouldn't want to make plans to travel any distance until the venue has tickets available.

so everytime you post on here you mention that "all these people left the board" ... who? when? why keep saying it if you can't back anything up?

kosmo, just out of curiosity, do you or other admins track traffic on here?

It took six responses; not one of you offered anything to Freddy.

Finally, thanks for the usual condescension, Vansmack.  BTW:  I've rarely posted in the past months, so I'm not sure where your insinuation about my "incessantly" doing anything comes from...perhaps you've confused me with those who have 3,000-4,000 posts in the past few years.

 Flame away, bitches.
you're a real loser, you know that?   do you act like this is real life?

and as for your "six posts" , smackie asked exactly what he wanted to know in post 4.  and only ONE of those posts was even remotely mean. and it was only mean if you knew what a smartass Hoya was already, otherwise, it was just a "wow"

yes, canadians say "eh"  entirely too much. all of them.  in fact, i dont think you could over generalize how much we say "eh".

no typing "eh" in a message board post or email.  not really something i every see anyone do.
its a mental pause like "umm" or "you know".   i thought this post was fake as well when i first read it. but who knows about western canadians  ;)    "eh!"

re: tracking traffic, as far as know there is no formal tracking going on here. informally i have observed there are number of lurkers who from to time popup and post.  i'm guessin' traffic increases when shows sellout and people are looking for tickets, venting etc.

most forum visitors who come here to vent aren't likely to stick around anyways.  the forum will never be as active as one for a platinum selling act like Pearl Jam or a teenie-bop band like All American Rejects.  the 9:30 forum is a bit like the forum over at eMusic where despite all the subscribers over there only a handful post on a regular basis.

it could be interesting to turn on and monitor how many users are indeed active at any given time...

it's a good thing I didn't make my snide remark about a subset of fans likely to attend this show, as it appears that forum admins/mods are required to robots without personalities.

Hi Seth   I'm new here too!  I like the Pixies, Frank Black of course <ha> alot of indie music like Concrete Blonde, totally love Modest Mouse, and PJ Harvey, and a little country like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. I went to Sonar and saw the Pixies but I haven't been to the 9:30 in a while and now and I'm outta touch with whats hot at the 9:30...I'm thinking about tickets to the WU TANG Clan thingy...  Is it a rock venue or a rap venue? Maybe, if I come in here often enough I'll learn alot about whats hot and what not..

There was an article in TIME about a woman who wrote a book about people and how they conduct themselves on the internet. She said mostly people act as they would if they were drunk.
 You betcha, eh?

Hey Freddy,

Welcome to our country! I am sure you will find Americans very friendly, unless you are French Canadian. There are a few mean people around, but most of us are really nice peeps.

I am familar with this band UB40. They did a fine cover of Neil Diamond's "Red, Red Wine". Correct?

Unfortunately, we won't be able to join you for the show. We'll be in Charlottesville running the Charlottesville Marathon. Perhaps you could come out to C-ville and cheer us on? We'd really appreciate that. They say it's really hill out there, and not the easiest of marathons.

Anyway, welcome to our country, and have an awesome show.

 Your pal,

 Charlie
