nice!  i'd actually say this one takes the cake, what's the backstory to it?

i just have a boring story about doing dumb stuff in college at a trans am show at black cat and getting "bounced" by a bespectacled 5'2" 110lb guy

come to think of it, i think there are a couple of others (Common Share and Madams Organ, both circa 2000), but i only heard the stories second-hand from more sober people in attendance, so i'm not sure how accurate they are

Opening night in Anaheim, April 15, 1991.  The California Angels were playing the Oakland A's.  We had great seats in the second or third row and as the game went on, more of my boys kept coming down, so we had a huge section.  The whole game my buddies were egging me to go out on the field.  I was the youngest of this group (17-22 year olds) and most susceptible to peer pressure.  A few beers back, the game was tied going into the 7th and I made a deal with them that if they pay my fine and give me $200 I'll do it if the game gets out of hand (thinking it wouldn't).

Oakland scores 3 runs in the seventh and took a 5-2 lead.  With one out in the 8th, I shocked the group and ran out on the field with no announcement. I slid head first into second and waited.

 And waited....

Well, it takes the cops a few seconds to get to second and it's lonely out there (I looked up at Dickie Schofield at short and he didn't seem too pleased).  Well, it seemed like minutes to me so I got up, took a short lead and headed to third, blowing past a cop and two security guards, and did a nice belly-flop slide into third, my feet nearly going over my head with the adrenaline.  Gary Gaetti chuckled at me (or more likely my slide) and I put my hands behind my head for the cuffs.  They cuffed me and dragged me into the dugout and under the stadium.  They gave me a hard time, but didn't really rough me up too much (except dragging me down the dugout steps).  They tried to call my folks (I was 17), who thankfully weren't home (it happened to be their wedding anniversary and cell phones weren't popular yet), wrote up the arrest paperwork (trespassing fine of nearly $283 at the time) and threw me out of the stadium.

I booked ass home (my family still lives about 1.5 miles from the stadium) and deleted the message the cops left on the answering machine.  My boys paid the fine, I got my cash (over time) and petitioned the court to expunge my record when I turned 18.  Good times.

Actually, I took the New York Bar, never expecting to move back to California.

On their bar app, I listed the trespassing arrest in the Minor's section, and they didn't ask for much information in that section so that's all it says (assuming all kids do something stupid before they're 18?).

I had planned to be asked about it at the interview stage, but I was actually out of the country on business the week of the interview and swearing in February.  Because I was not living in NY at the time, I had to go to Albany for the swaering in and I always thought I'd do it next time I passed through (practicing international development law, being bar licensed was not required).  Well, I never made it to Albany and my time lapsed, so I have the rare distinction of passing the NY Bar and never bothering to get sworn in.

That aforementioned trip to Vegas also revealed that the new gold in strip joints in Xanax.  Strippers will do just about anything for a Xanax.

Just thought I needed to share that with you.

smakie: VERY useful intel, but i guess not suprising.  if i was in that line of work, with that type of clientele, i'd want to be as disassociated as possible too.

Some strippers will trade a lot for any drug.  In DC it was always blow, but blow was too expensive to trade for a lap dance or two.  With Xanax now having a generic form (which it didn't 10 years ago), 60 pills for $10 now makes Xanax gold, as opposed to just have drug trade value.

Anyone ever go to Lucky's in Radford?
I was tossed outta there. After I was let in I made a bee line for the bathroom, washed off the under 21 marks, and then someone wet their over 21 stamp and pressed on my hand. I walked out of the bathroom, my friends looked to say "hi", but was lead straight out. Didn't do that again.
I was also told to go home from the Bus Stop. I was a youngin' days before my 18th birthday. I remember feeling so sorry for myself walking home.
