I was the big guy with the dreds.. I think I know who you are talking about with the big guy with long hair.. and belive me he wasnt just bouncing off of us bigger people.. he'd slam into me pretty hard too, but then would bounce off after meeting greater resistance  ;)  But all in all, I thought it was a pretty mellow and friendly pit for a Ministry show. Certainly less blood and injury than I had seen "back in the day"..

The show at the 9:30 was way better then the one Saturday night at Thunderdome. That show was good, but the one at the 9:30 took it up several notches. TKK was lots better last night and their bass player is just too cool. Everyone I was around, at the show, thought Hanzel and Gretyl was great. As for Ministry, they took no prisoners last night. I wonder if Al and the boys stopped by to see W, while they were in town?

The pit during Ministry was a rough one, but a friendly one. Not sure if that makes sense. Either that or I am getting to old for that stuff. Anywho, It was a great show, and I don't think the big guy with the long hair had any intent on killing us little people off, it's just the pit, and that the way it works.Maybe he didn't realize his own strength? Or maybe I'm getting to old for that stuff. But all and all, Ministry was great, TKK wasn't too bad, And HuG we're awsome too. Next Time I won't wear a leather jacket in the pit. I think I sweat off about 10lbs in that bitch!! Great show and a fun time, reguadless of the bit lip and bloody nose I got!

Yeah, I heard that other shows the pit can get pretty rough so it wasn't that bad .(e.g. 92' tour). I just hate how people my age their mentality is to get in the pit and fuck as many people up as possible

HuG is from Brooklyn, and their drummer is in LA. Not German at all. The first 2 songs for HuG was nothing but guitars in the mix, but they had a really good set. Better then when we played with them at Nation a year ago for July 4th.  Starting in Nov they'll be the main supporting act and TKK will go on first.

Ministry did blow up the place! I liked it when Levi came out to help Al pummel Bush! Excellent set too. The new tracks have grown on me after listening to them for the past few weeks. So I didn't mind hearing them run through the first few songs off the new album   :)

The party almost became a bigger party as the Genitorturers were going to drop on in as well since their show got cancelled at Jaxx for tonight.

I had a blast at the show last night.   I have lots of battle wounds to heal from now!  Ministry was AWESOME! TKK was great too.

OH! And if I offended anyone by flashing the band....

ministry in detroit 12 years ago...a thick blood slick from the pit to the men's washroom (about 20 yards or so).  the sinks were  hazmat areas...

If by all of HuG you mean Loopy and Vas, sure they're from NYC, but their drummer definitely lives in LA. We all had a conversation about it since one of my band members is in Brooklyn and two of us live here in DC, and we both share the same management/lawyer and on the same label too!  :)   Loopy might have some German blood in him, but he's not from Germany. He's never been to Germany is what he told me, plus his mom lives in DC too.

Well of course I enjoyed the show but that was expected. I was suprised Ministry played the first seven songs in the order of their new CD. Luckily, I love that CD. I wasn't moshin' last night, anyone getting close to me and my girl got a nice shove from me all the way to the other side of the pit. I doubt I'm the blonde guy that was mentioned earlier but it could have been. I was wearing a Rockie shirt. Actually my GF shoved this other girl twice, pretty far for bumping too close to us. I guess she hasn't been to too many of these moshin concerts. A great show though. Pitters, be lucky I took the night off.   ;)
