That thing is retarded.

For "Decemberists" the closest artist is shown as Doc Watson.

For "Fountains of Wayne" the closest artist is Cornershop.

Actually it could be very cool... They do Beatle songs in the style of Metallica.  The band had made thier recordings available for free for years on their website.  The band got a mention on Boingboing and suddently they get a cease and desist letter from Metallica publisher. Best part of story is Lars himself stepped in on behalf of the band.  Cause you had to know if someone was taking the piss at the expense of Metallica they would have been shut down years ago...

In honor of Bags, I put in Barry Manilow.

It told me George Jones and Wham were the closest.

more to go on...hmmm.  my taste tends toward rock-ish i suppose.

i can give the last few shows i have been to.

 shows:
 nada surf
 brmc
 bjm
 oasis
 white stripes
 doves
 going to black keys
 bss
 british sea power
 kings of leon

 nothing too avant garde.
Kasabian
 Engineers
 Magic Numbers

Sorry, too lazy to post the URLs.  Each of these will offer something you like.  Unless you absolutely LOVED Kings of Leon.  If that's the case, I can't account for taste and you may end up hating the bands I mentioned.
