well, it would really depend on where you want to stay.  any of the kimpton hotels would work, or there are various wyndhams/hilton/marriott's around town.  there's also the mandarin oriental hotel, which is home to cityzen restaurant and thomas keller-trained chef eric ziebold.

As I said, the syph is the least of your worries, even though it's rates have risen. Particularly if you're only having heterosexual sex.

haha, noo; chances are i'll end up boycotting my own prom.  i do, though, know plenty of kids that had their bar and bat mitzvahs back in the day at really nice expensive DC hotels, and i recall really liking that one.  i went to a party once at that
one accross the street from the white house or whatever too, but i forgot the name.  it was also really nice.  i don't really know what else to say here. [/b]
Considering this thread has devolved into one about vile sexual diseases,I think you've done quite well.......

Wait until you find someone you love or feel the potential for love, and then have sex.

Hotel Helix near Logan Circle is nice. Like all the Kimptons, it has a lot more personality than the big chains.

Yeah, my GF and I spent a long weekend there last year. It's a nice hotel and the art deco stuff wasn't overdone. The lounge is a bit overpriced but they have a complimentary champagne hour every evening around 5. I highly recommend it. The staff really go out of the way to make you feel like you're having an experience, rather than staying at a cookie cutter Hilton/Marriott/etc.
