Among the popular live shows are:

My Morning Jacket Live at 9:30 Club
 Little Feat Live at Lupo's
Robbie Fulks Live at Double Door
Umphrey's McGee Live at Fox Theatre
Scott Lucas (of Local H) Live at Metro
The High Dials Live at Schubas
Taj Mahal Live at Fox Theatre
 Urge Overkill Live at Maxwell's
J Mascis and the Fog Live at Maxwell's
 Rye Coalition Live at Maxwell's
The Wrens Live at The Casbah
Wow, I *am* into downloading shows. Did these come from eMusic?
I've found a couple good (free) live shows for download on db etree, but it's mostly jamband crap. I did get a great Morning Jacket show and a pretty cool Man or Astroman show.

Would love to hear a good Urge Overkill show. The show they played at the old 9:30 club was very memorable. [/b]

Since the e-music thread is on the first page again, I've been downloading bands I wanted to see at SXSW but couldn't catch -- very cool, I heard a song or two on the SXSW Showcase Sampler, and now can grab the albums!

 Black Lipstick
 The Capes
 Field Music
 dEUS
 The Divorce

 other goodies --
 Neko Case (new album)
 Echo & the Bunnymen, "Siberia"
 Stereolab
 Ted Leo
 The National
 New Pornographers
 Belle & Sebastian
 The Essex Green
 McClusky

Ok, PM one of 'em!  [Sorry, Brennser -- I get so much music and advice from Kosmo!]

FYI, you can stream the new Josh Rouse  here -- I kept hearing about him, but hadn't heard him.  Sounds good, think I may make it an emusic choice.   ;)

Think Decemberists playing pool in a bar with Arcade Fire, when in walk the Doves, drunk off their asses, talking about how they just kicked the shit out of Damien Rice....or something....

I'll give emusic its due when appropriate.  I downloaded Deadboy and the Elephantmen off of emusic about a month ago after reading about the Iota show on here.  I saw them Saturday night and it was maybe the best show I have seen in a couple of years.
