Timberlake

So, for all the bitching and whining and moaning I read from most of the regulars on this board, you'd think that they were dragged to this show, beaten for $45, and then thrown in the door and locked in. so, those of you who weren't , who actually wanted to go, how was it? What happened? Was it the regular "performance" or did he actually do something different? I've heard that at a couple club shows, he actually pulled out an acoustic guitar and played some of his hits all acoustic.....

I'm dying to hear about it.  I'm pessimistic that anyone from the board went, though.

I think everyone who posts here is under 21.

I actually went to the show and it wasn't all that bad...

He's more talented than I thought.  I figured that he'd be lipsynching to a backtrack from a CD, but he had a full band there (who were all really good) and was singing and played acoustic guitar and keyboards too.  The crowd was a bit obnoxious but not all that bad.  The show was a bit short (about an hour, give or take)

He talked a lot and I think he was trying to prove to everyone that he's not "JUST" a teeny-bopper / pop guy.  He insisted that people notice him drinking his beer.  He made several references to smoking weed and used the f*ck word and the sh*t word in all of his sentences.

The staph did a great job with will call and security flowing in the club.

Overall a pretty solid experience.  It was worth checking out, seeing as there was nothing better to be doing (other than sleeping) at 1am on a Monday night.

 Cheers

I think that he thought that it would add to his 'grown up' image if he were to curse a lot.

Oh yeah, at one point he was like "I think I'm losing my voice...man I'm tired.  I think I'm getting old" and then he kinda chuckled.  What's funny is that half of the crowd was probably older than he is.

So its sounds to me like he was trying too hard to be a grown up.

it was A LOT of work, but i spent maybe thirty seconds in the main room while he was on stage so i can't comment on the show at all.  i can say that just about everyone i saw leaving had a smile on their face, and i can't remember a single person complaining about the ticket price or set length or how late it was.  a good indicator of a good show is a happy crowd.

 highlights of my evening:
 1. some crazy woman screaming "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR PEOPLE HAVE DONE TO ME!" and crying when i told her that the ticket holders line was around the corner.

 b.  a car coming into the back of the alley and then backing out right away.  they dropped a 15 year old girl there.  we found her hiding in the bushes.

III.  a limo containing 11 strippers offering me any amount of money, and "anything i wanted to do with any or all of them" to let them in.

 D.  drunken midget.  high comedy.

Did the 11 strippers enjoy the show?

a gentleman never kisses and tells.  i'll just say that the drunken midget recieved more attention from me than the limo full of strippers.

Then again, Josh, strippers love big guys in kilts.

A show is good if you have funny stories to tell and not stories like "I almost killed 5 people/idiots today".  Well now you can rest until friday, what a casual week.
