Looks like one of those MTV shows since the ticket price is $2.

This is a good site to check out for news.  There is not much really confirmed yet for august, especially for DC.

Bull Run might be a nice place to put on a show in August . . .

Ok, seriously, they owe DC big time.  And they're sounding a bit political these days too calling their album "Hail to the Thief" and all.  How can a band with any political inclinations NOT play DC?  If they really want to make a difference, they could play 2 nights at 9:30 (assuming I could get tickets) or hell, Constitution Hall.  This would probably have a life-changing effect on some up-and-coming left-leaning politicos, inspire them to dedicate their lives to fighting for truth and justice, and thereby bolster freedom and democracy in immeasurable ways.  How can they not realize this? How can Radiohead consider themselves a legitimate band when they continue to dick around the world avoiding DC?

I am still angry about August 2001...that was just criminal.  2 nights, no less, and we still never got a proper make-up for that.  Radiohead should really compensate their fans for that travesty.  Why couldn't they just have played Merriweather??  ARGH...

What was so criminal about it?  Sure it was a bad weekend for me too, but people are a little dramatic about it.

i would like to officially announce that it is time for everyone to get over it with regards to the radiohead events at bull run park, unless you meet three or more of the following criteria:

 1. you waded through shit water up to your waist, and are at least 6' tall
 b. you spent more than 3 days at the bull run site
III.  you got hepatitis c there
 4.  you were within 10 feet of being hit by lightning more than once
 e.  your golf cart sank

all of this and more happened to the people that busted their asses for more than a month to make those shows a possibility.  nobody knows the disappointment of a show cancelling more than those that were trying our damndest to make it happen, but even we have gotten to the point where the stories are funny.

really, people.  what happened to you?  you got a little wet and muddy and couldn't see a show.  big fucking deal.  get over it.  radiohead doesn't owe you anything.  move on with your lives.

Well I qualify for 3 out of the 5 I think, and actually I do have some fond memories of the weekend now.  I agree that people should get over it.
