What's not to understand?  Just put a load of shit in you mouth and talk....sounds just like the Mancunian accent!     In all seriousness, I think most Americans can understand the posh London accent because of films and television.  The accents from the midlands and north are harder to understand.  And the accent seems to change every 30 miles.  I won't even get into the Scottish accent!
