well, thats what i am saying, i think "bigger" has more to do with album sales, commercials, merchandising sales or concert ticket sales.
but to be honest using "big" to describe a band isnt something i would ever really do.
Radiohead, to me, is the Velvet underground of our time.
Now, obviously VU was never as big as Radiohead while alive (or ever) but that cant happen in todays age, no secret is kept for long anymore.
i wrote a paper on it, 6 pages actually, and no, i cant post it cause its on an old computer that i may never be able to start again.
but to sum it up
Music = art
all artists embraced the VU, as they do Radiohead.
Radiohead = art for the artistic.
