Lucinda Williams- Car Wheels on a Gravel Road


first time listening to the LP release of one of my all time favorite albums- even if i got burnt out on it-which came out about 2-3 years ago. like 15 years after the CD!...I think its punchier/bassier less trebley than the CD.. better...

unfortunately the cover got mangled in transit.. when will Amazon sellers learn how to ship records. throwing them in a box with bug bubble wrap is not the way!

also they should have made it heavy gatefold. .it is an album deserving of deluxe treatment... I do hear stuff on the record that I did not hear on the CD

weird.. the drums on Lake Charles don't sound right to me..


I'm not an audiophile but this is an album I know like the back of my hand...for a while i thought it was about the best album of all time.. wouldn't take issue with that even today 18 years later
