that summed up my experience seeing them last night, but Hollerado was entertaining.

have a good Gang of Four show to anyone who is going. Jon King sure is an animated guy but they bored me to tears in 2005.

Too bad I am taking the LSAT Saturday morning, because I would be able to do something Friday night.  Like go to Strathmore for the Screen Vinyl Image animal benefit show, or Windup space to go see Shark Tank (Height, Lord Grunge of Grand Buffet, Mickey Free, and Brendan Richmond), Ed Schrader, Moss Of Aura (synth player from Future Islands), and The Plural MC.

Well Linkin Park is canceled tonight, as I'm sure some of you will chuckle.  Good thing I found out before I drove to DC  ;D

Odd Future Wolfgang Kill Em All on Monday
Just saw that it's listed as an "Early Show"
As if negotiating a show on Valentines Day isn't hard enough.
But its worth it, especially after hearing the new Tyler single:

Wondering how bad the odds of getting a ticket to that outside on the night of the show will be.

Really enjoyed the Rollins late show. And it was videotaped for broadcast on National Geographic too!

i had a good time at the early show.  2 hours flew right by.

are you sure it was taped by/for NatGeo?  they signs said that 2.13.61 was filming, which is rollin's company/production group/etc.  made me think this was for something that rollins was going to release himself.

From what I understand, it will be released on DVD by Rollins, but also broadcast by Nat Geo too since he's now got a show on there.

Anyone else check out The Church last night? They put on a great show. It was really cool to hear such a catalog like that.

Yes, amazing show.

It had an uneven start with Marty W-P having technical problems for the first 3-4 songs, but everything clicked into place after that.  Peter Koppes is such an amazing guitarist for how understated he is.  Marty was amazing all night, and Steve Kilbey just keeps on getting better as a front man.

Getting to hear "Priest=Aura" in its entirety was incredible.  I was also really impressed by how diverse the instrumentation was for the "Untitled #23" set.  They switched instruments pretty much every song.

"Starfish" was my least favorite of the 3 sets, just because I've seen most all those songs live several times, but it was still great.  Marty absolutely shredded on Spark, North South East West, Reptile and Hotel Womb.

It's a tough one. If I'd never heard their stuff, the idea of seeing a new, semi-underground hip-hop group would be about as appealing as seeing Spoon or some other terrible, awful band. But their shit is so good that it feels like the chance to see something really awesome.

Chances are very good it will be a lot of terrible acoustics and incoherent shouting over the top, but its only $10 and it could be great. No Earl unfortunately. I read that his mom discovered his album, totally freaked out and sent him to military school. Hard to know what's real and what isn't with these guys though.

I wanted to go but 3 hours inside the Birchmere didn't appeal to me.
