Does anyone know where I can pick up some Sculpin IPA cans in the District/MD?

Most Whole Foods in VA has them. So I'd guess the DC stores stocks it.

both. i would go ahead and say there food was good, their artwork and image is great, their location is horrible, staff isn't very friendly, and their beer is mediocre.  arctic panzer wolf was the only thing that was notable to me... ZD, dreadnaught, gumballhead, space station middle finger, alpha king were all meh. honestly, DC brau makes better beers in those styles than FFF.

I agree with you about the food, staff, image, and location (though it's actually more accessible to my in-laws house than any of those others so that's a matter of perspective.)

And while I'd never call their beer "mediocre", I'd definitely say "overrated".

overrated is more appropriate. the hype seems bizarre to me... ZD is a fine beer but a fresh anti-hero, furious, or daisy cutter is just as good, if not better. 

my two favorite beers of the weekend: matilda at wrigley field (largely a craft beer wasteland otherwise) and citra-hero at revolution.  PW ninja vs. unicorn, central waters BABW, 2013 BCBCS, and half acre shrub tundra were also excellent.  overall, that city is flush with great beer options.

Brew Dogs is an entertaining show on the Esquire channel featuring the two main brewers behind Scotland's BrewDog brewery(kinda the Dogfish Head of the UK...think extreme beers) visiting different American cities known for their beer scenes and brewing beers,pairing beer with food,hanging with noted brewers and tippling at various craft beer bars. The two guys are reasonably funny and don't come off douchey like many beer nerds. Definitely worth checking out if you dig craft brew.

Founders is expanding yet again, primarily driven by All Day IPA.  lots of interesting info in this article... man, they're growing fast.

"Overall sales are up 54 percent over 2013, said Stevens. Sales of All Day IPA, a session ale that Founders spent four years perfecting as a flagship brand before debuting last summer, is up 138 percent over last year.

All Day IPA is not the only Founders beer surging in sales. Centennial IPA is up 63 percent over 2013; Dirty Bastard is up 48 percent, and Founders Porter is up 87 percent, he said.

On Tuesday, July 1, the brewery also announced a new addition to the specialty lineup: Dark Penance, an imperial black IPA that lands in October."
