Made a trip to Veil yesterday to stock up on beers for the holidays... this one hits it out of the park, basically drinking a raspberry smoovie gose. Never Never Again Again by Veil...

They are quickly becoming my favorite brewery other than possibly Trillium for hoppy beverages. Finished the evening off at Answer with a few delicious Andalls and a killer chicken bowl. I unfortunately didn't get the invite to sleep on Julian's couch.

Hey Yada, how long did you have to stand in line at the Veil to get cans? What time did you arrive? What's the best strategy? Was there good take home stuff left after the initial deluge of people?

Aslin leaving Herndon

Cheers to a new year!

As the new year is quickly approaching, we wanted to let you know that Aslin Beer Co. will be leaving the Town of Herndon in 2017. This was not an easy decision to make but it's necessary in order to grow our business and fulfill our mission to create amazing beer and a great place to enjoy it.

We have not yet decided on our new location but are in the process of scoping out options and hope to confirm our new spot soon.

Until our new location is up and running, we will continue to operate as To-Go only to make our beer more easily accessible to more people. Beer will be limited through the next two weeks, but as of the second week of January it will released on a weekly basis. We will updated operating hours through the next few weeks.

2017 Mug Club members - you will be receiving a separate email shortly regarding how this affects your membership.

For this week, starting December 28, we will be making announcements each day for releases and hours.

From everyone at Aslin Beer Co. - thank you for your continued support. Feel free to stop by and chat or shoot us an email if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Andrew, Kai, & Richard

its kind of sucky to leave where you made your rep.. what is so bad about Herndon? I mean I don't like it but pretty much all of Northern Virginia is like it...they make it sound like a business decision

location was horrible (not so much in herndon)
in the middle of a business park and looked like the entrance to a locker room at a highschool

Now that they are so popular, I'm sure they can get loans/investors to get a real nice space

Shows how good their beers were, that people kept going to venue that sucked balls

Apparently the fire marshal cracked down on them. Some kind of Town of Herndon code where they can't have more customers on the place than they have actual seats. Not sure why they're treating a tap room as if it's a restaurant, since they don't serve food. Wouldn't be a problem if they were only interested in being a to-go beer destination (apparently ala Treehouse and Trillium when they first started out), but they want to have the tap room as well. Do they not have bars in Herndon?

It sounds like someone needs to organize 9:30 Forum Bottleshare Group V.2.0.

The search for a better cheap beer continues over here..

Boatswain Double IPA Twin Screw Steamer 8.4% abv.. .$4.99 for a six pack at Trader Joes...

I think the first one gave me a pounding headache.. I'll report back after I've had a few more (if they don't kill me)...
