Rhett, you crack me up sometimes.
-
Who?
Just kidding. I love House of Pain.
-
Is that a sarcastic follow-up? If not, you might have your white rap trios confused :)

Oh don't worry. I know 3rd Bass. I went to high school with Steve Nelson, who taught me more about rap than I ever needed to know. Ice-T, NWA, Public Enemy, as well as all the other lesser stuff.

Charlie Nakatestes, Japanese Golfer turns 42 today. Happy birthday, Charlie. You'll always be younger than Serch, and perhaps a tad thinner and slightly less a fashion disaster. Note: can't find any pictures of you from the 80's online, but here's a reasonable approximation.
And if you don't wish to celebrate Charlie's birthday today, you can alternatively opt for Toni Tennille.

when i read this thread title yesterday, i figured there to be some self motivated reason for its beginning. Then i thought i was wrong. Now, I realize it was an elaborate setup. Happy Birthday, Charlie.
Maybe we should all start a thread for our own birthday. ;)
-
Thanks.
Truly, it was coincidence that it started yesterday. Well, sort of. I was just amazed that Serch and I were only separated at birth by one day. I wonder what other things he and I have in common?
I plan to post ONE birthday each day through May 6, 2010. If I haven't done it by 3pm EST, someone feel free to pick an appropriate selection and post for that day. If you have a nomination for a particular day (yourself or anyone else), PM me. Of course if someone else want to start a separate birthday thread and write their own rules, feel free.

in the above photo, you have a passing resemblance to kosmo. of course it could also be my fading memory of kosmo's appearance, i haven't seen him in 2 years or so...

Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, two blogs (one about our daughter, the other about women's and parenting issues), working 20+ hours a week for multiple employers, and taking care of our daughter 24/7 with no help except me....I guess there's no time left for the 9:30 board.
I miss Celeste.

get rid of the facebook, flickr, blog bullshit, and maybe she would have a life. or she could write a book if she cared that much about what others think of what she thinks.
i gave up a long time ago, and feel so much better about it.

When did you start going to Dave Pirner's barber?
-
i thought it was charlie's homage to thom yorke.
-
the hair says hipster
the belly says beer
the wife says "hubba hubba"
and the kid says, "can we go the f home now."
-
You say Dave Pirner, Celeste says Dudley Moore.
At any rate, I just got it cut shorter and plan to keep it shorter.
When did you start going to Dave Pirner's barber?
-
Actually, it was the wife bitching about wanting to go home. The kid wanted down so she could try to climb the cherry trees.

Happy belated!
Very nice family pic.
Btw, I like this idea as long as we keep up with it.

Ok, my sources have corrected me. Today, May 8, we actually celebrate the birthday of 70's icon Toni Tennille, who turns 69 today. Did y'all know that she sang backup on Pink Floyd's The Wall? Happy Birthday, Toni.

So who shared a birthday with me yesterday? Well, I could go with esteemed newsman Tim Russert. But who wants to see his squirrelly mug? Instead, i'm going to go with screen legend Tracy Lords, who turned 41. Happy belated birthday, Tracy.

It almost looks like she's got a dick there
-
I just did some research, and from what I can tell, it's probably a mass of pubic hair and not a dick. Most women still had that wonderful stuff back in the 80's.

i would have thought that your employer's firewall would have filtered out such "research"... or did you consult your person stash?
-
Google image with safesearch off. The thumbnails aren't blocked.

Two days of total gayness for the birthday thread.
Yesterday, Cher turned 63.
Today, Morrissey turns 50.
Happy Birthday, Cher and Moz.

Jesus
-
Actually it is widely believed that Jesus's birthday is April 17 25 BCE.
-
Jesus
really, seems like the prevailing consensus was that it didn't happen on this date, but there was another pagan holiday that they could celebrate in secret
-
Actually it is widely believed that Jesus's birthday is April 17 25 BCE.
Jesus was clearly born around September/October. The Bible records no birthdate but he died on Passover which we do have a date for. He (supposedly) was 33.5 years old which would be a fall birthday and the weather related reports of the time of his birth align with September/October.
This, of course, is referring to the Historical Jesus under the assumption that the non-theological aspects of the Gospels is accurate. Any attempt to figure out an actual birthdate of a person who very possibly never existed is a fools errand.

This can’t be right, no one wears white after Labor Day
