Title: Tiger Woods Playlist

Smell Yo Dick (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruef7aYCEbc)
Kraftwerk - The Model
Dr. Dre - Bitches Ain't Shit
Anything by Woods
Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain (whole album)

Surely, Tory Amos and Ani DiFranco's catalogs can fill this thread out nicely but I'm not familiar enough with either.

Jay-Z - 99 Problems

An aside....

I've got a cure for Jay-Z

"99 Pills" - A Beautiful Noise

Damien Rice - 9 Crimes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgqOSCgc8xc) or, because of it's inclusion in Closer, The Blowers Daughter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgqOSCgc8xc), but only if one in his heirloom is a stripper.  My preference would be 9 Crimes

Duran Duran - Hungry Like the Wolf (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOg5VxrRTi0)

Survivor - Eye of the Tiger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mu9xx5Ri278)

Ha, I would have played "Eye of the Tiger" as well. ;)
"Stupid" Glen Phillips
"Men Just Leave" Glen Phillips

Is this story a country songwriter's dream? Is that why Dixie Chicks' wailing comes to mind? There are just too many.
BITTER END
DON'T WASTE YOUR HEART
EASY SILENCE
EVERYBODY KNOWS
GIVE IT UP OR LET ME GO
HEARTBREAK TOWN
HOLE IN MY HEAD
I CAN LOVE YOU BETTER
I LIKE IT
I'VE GOT ONLY MYSELF TO BLAME
I WANT TO BE A COWBOY
IF I FALL YOU RE GOING DOWN WITH ME
SIN WAGON
THE NEIGHBOR
TONIGHT THE HEARTACHE IS ON ME
my fave: TRUTH #2

Jay-Z - 99 Problems

The only song that really matters for Tiger's situation.

How does 99 Problems apply to Tiger?

"I've got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one"

Well...that's not really true to Tiger at all. In fact, one could argue that all of his problems are related to bitches, yes?

I think too often on these "topical playlists" we focus purely on the titles of the songs and completely ignore what the song is about.

I always thought that the "a bitch ain't one" line implied that he doesn't have a problem acquiring bitches which Tiger does not.

I always thought he was complementing Beyonce by saying she didn't constitute a problem in his life in any way.

I thought this too.  I mean, the guy has issues with foes that wanna make sure his casket's closed, rap critics, radio, the mother fuckin' law, hoes (not in the sense of havin a pussy, but a pussy havin no god damn sense to try and push him), paparazzi, and the D.A..  But at the end of the day, his bitch is not one of those problems.

I always thought that the "a bitch ain't one" line implied that he doesn't have a problem acquiring bitches which Tiger does not.

I always thought he was complementing Beyonce by saying she didn't constitute a problem in his life in any way.

Was he already involved with  Beyonce when he recorded/released the song? I thought it was older. And I never really paid close attention to most of the lyrical content so I could be (most likely am) wrong.

Jay-Z and Beyonce got together in 2002. Black Album was 2004, I think.

Jules, you've got to just love it. You use the word bitch towards women and it costs you a concert ticket. Jay-Z calls them bitches and the man makes millions! Obviously, a 'bitch' ain't one of them.  ::)

I always thought this.

To Tiger, women are the problem in his life right now.

So the bitch isn't 'society'?

I'd like to think Elin is handling this Swedishly by putting on hotpants, blowdrying her hair, applying some  heavy 70's style makeup and pretending she's Frida while dancing around her home singing appropriate ABBA songs like "SOS" and "Waterloo" and "Knowing Me Knowing You" before concluding with the showstopper "Mama Mia!" and resolving to find a man with real character AND sensitivity like Bjorn or Benny.

Also, did you know there is an ABBA song called 'Tiger'?  Fascinating.

I always thought it was "complimenting".

Is that the way they spell it in Rechmond?

It's how we spell it in Meeechigan.

?noun
1.    something that completes or makes perfect: A good wine is a complement to a good meal.
2.    the quantity or amount that completes anything: We now have a full complement of packers.
3.    either of two parts or things needed to complete the whole; counterpart.

As was clear to everyone but yourself, I was saying that Jay-Z knew that Beyonce really needed to hear that she was not a trifling bitch like all the other bitches he had earlier messed around with. So, he complemented her (and their relationship) with said knowledge, leading to their eventual engagement and marriage.

Exactly. Knowledge that you're not a trifling bitch can truly complete us all.
