Great from start to finish, even though it doesn't include arguably the best song Jackson released in '79 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI3Wwis82cc)

I prefer this:

I can't imagine why you thought his '02 show at the Club sucked.  The opener was a little hard to handle with her endless demands for reparations, but I thought LKJ and the Dennis Bovell band were great.

You beat me to it. I was going to start a parody thread, however, titled "Great albums about 1979".

I worked at a swimming pool in Germantown, MD in the summer of '85.  For some reason, this was the only cassette we had to listen to for just about the entire summer.  We played it a LOT.  In mid-August, somebody left a copy of Upstairs at Eric's behind, so our music options doubled for the last couple of weeks.

Odd that a project released in 1979 would be called the #1 album of the 80s.  Says a lot about the actual 80s music... :)

Then there's this one, which pretty much goes without saying is my number one choice.

I'm sort of getting envious for this era...there was a ridiculous amount of great music released in 1979.

Gotta say this is by far my favorite Iggy solo LP and in the top 3 for my favorite LPs of 1979.

this one is incredible

i so wish i owned the original rusting metal box.....the US issue is kind of puny in comparison

I did get Lydon to sign it .. he has the oddest signature..its like two signatures in one or something..
