Yes and it's one of those reason why my favorite digital download service works for me so well.  It's good but it would have been hard to justify owning as a full priced CD.  "I Can See For Miles"  for instance works really well with others just ok.  I agree her "God Only knows" is pretty amazing...

I find myself playing Clinic's first two albums all the time. Those albums are so good, and I can see that band kind of just fading away like Six By Seven did, which was another great band.

Would have to agree about the definition of indie.

The Frames, for example, is a good choice, but they are huge in Ireland, Czech Repub, and across Europe.

Up to a few years ago, my vote would have been for Calexico, but now...i think mercury program or world inferno/friendship need more help.

They still release things once in awhile but it's usually extremely DIY and you have to buy the stuff directly from them.

Also, keep your ears opened for Chris Davis' (the man behind Six.By.Seven) new band with Katty Heath (ex-Bent) called Spotlight Kid. .....Actually, now that I think of it, my friend's record label is putting this release out so odds are good that I'll be able to get some of the goods for my radio show.
