Liverscum 3 Leverkusen 1....hardly clash of the titans is it? Not a champions league winner in that pairing.

 B. Munich 3 Arseholes 1....there is a God after all. I'm sniggering quietly to myself until 10pm Irish time tonight, at which point I hope to be absolutely pissing myself.

I may be biased, but I truly believe the ultimate winner of the competition will be the winner of the AC Milan/Man Utd contest....and I'm feeling strangely confident, United seem to be peaking at the right time.

so now, arrogant Mourinho, you know very well what it is to lose two games in a row.

Manchester can still make it in Milan.

The hilarious thing is.....Carroll has already turned down two new contract offers from United!!!!! That dope will be lucky to get a game for the Coach & Horses next season.

Shay Given.....remember where you heard it first.  ;)  I told smackie we were getting Rooney months before it happened. No inside info on the Given rumour....just a gut feeling.

United can still pull it off, they seem to thrive on having their backs to the wall, and RVN will have had a couple of games behind him so back to match fitness. Arseholes are finished because they have no collective spine....well they are French when all said and done. Chelski could still do it but it will be very hard for them now as Barca are very strong...did anyone see the Drogba sending off? I thought that was very harsh. I know he charged the goalie, but couldn't really see where the goalie was for the fullback so it was never with intent. Maybe a yellow was in order for the offense on it's own, but making that a second yellow and subsequent sending off was very harsh, and I thought a poor decision by the ref. The Barca players seemed to agree too going by their actions.

Two great goals by Barca by the way.

I can attest to his Rooney prediction.  Although I'm hearing Iker Casillas name a lot, I'd be fine with Given, Friedl, Cassillas, anybody at this point.

 It's just embarrassing now.

I doubt Casillas will ever leave Real Madrid, but this would be fantastic.

As for Drgoba and the red card in Barcelona, I am still not sure, the goalkeeper spent the night in a hospital, but it didn't seem that bad for a second yellow card. I don't know, if he didn't deserve it, then you could say that the referee helped Barcelona. However, the way Chelsea played yesterday they deserve to be out of the champions league. And Mourinho not wanting to give the press conference and all those (it seems) false accusations... he is a coward after talking so much the previous day, I hope Liverpool beats Chelsea in Cardiff this weekend. For sure they are going to get a fine for not showing up in the press conference, he is a bastard, he is just putting the pressure for the game in Stamford Bridge. I hope we beat them there.

Mourinho's problem is he doesn't know how to lose...and even admitted it recently.

I did like him, but after his antics after the deserved beating they got in Spain, well, he's just another wanker like Wenger if you ask me....it's never his teams fault when they lose.

I would love to see their season completely collapse at this point, and if that means Liverscum win the "nobody gives a rats" cup then so be it.

Another name that was thrown into the United goalie pool was Paul Robinson (£5m)

I'm just wondering how many catholics, never mind Irish catholics, actually play for Glasgow Celtic.

It was nice to see Rangers give them a good stuffing though.

well given all the 'good stuffings' Rangers have been on the receiving end of over the past few years you could argue they were due, I think it was 11 games since they had won at Parkhead   :p

United fans plan to 'remember' Cantona

Manchester United fans are preparing to defy Crystal Palace's ban on wearing Eric Cantona masks on Saturday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his kung fu assault on a fan.

United fanzine Red Issue has designated March 5 as 'Cantona Day' and called on travelling supporters to dig out their old Cantona masks despite the ban.

Palace's stadium manager Kevin Corner has said anyone wearing such a mask will be refused entry and those who don them inside Selhurst Park 'will be immediately ejected on safety grounds'.

One Red Issue contributor warned that many United fans would ignore the order.

He told the Press Association: 'It is an absolute joke. It is not against the law so who are they to say what we can and cannot do.

'It is typical of football in the modern day where the authorities and safety officers give spurious reasons for ruining the enjoyment of fans. United themselves can be as bad.

'I will be wearing a mask and many other United fans will be as well.'

The contributor insisted the Cantona Day was not intended to provoke rival fans at Selhurst Park.

He added: 'Eric Cantona will be remembered as a great Manchester United player but the one thing no other players has done is what he did at Selhurst Park 10 years ago. It set him apart and showed he was different.

'It is not meant to be provocative or to taunt the Palace fans - there's no rivalry there, Crystal Palace away is a non-event.

'It is just to bring a bit of colour, atmosphere and enjoyment to the match.'
