Woops, I meant Thompson, as in Scott Thompson.  Sorry, my bad....trying even more than usual to peruse the board while doing actual work.

LOL - no worries. i was wondering if you meant to type thompson but then i thought maybe you were talking about something totally different. i hear you on the work and perusing here thing. My thoughts often get jumbled up  :)

nope, no simon & hecubus   :(

it was essentially the same show as NYC, only difference that i notice was buddy's monologue - variations on a theme, but noticeably different.

their humour now reflects a hacky, monty python rip that i never saw before.[/b]
i always thought their humor reflected a monty python influence. perhaps not as much as mr show, but it's still there.

i thoroughly enjoyed the show. there were a couple of sketches that missed the mark -- "superdrunk" wasn't that good -- but most of it was funny. they definitely have become cruder, which doesn't necessarily equate to better; i think mr show did crude better. i liked the carfucker and middled-aged tweaker sketches. gavin was good, too.

and brian walalce was right: this was, like, totally, by far the most exciting thing that happened to me all year. maybe, like, the best thing ever.
