Your timing matches the guy on the Popdose blog who's going through A-Z every song that charted between 41-100 in the 1980s. So far nothing I've wanted to hear again

Gulp, hey jag, any album recommendations here? And Guy Chadwick, I'm also afraid to ask, but would you include in the A's that hasn't already been said? Trying to wrap this up...

High Land, Hard Rain is the seminal Aztec Camera album.

Any of the first four American Analog Set albums are solid.  From Our Living Room to Yours might be the stand out.  I also thoroughly enjoy Know By Heart.

soundtrack to Akira.  the only problem is that underage girls who are obsessed with anime and dressing up like video game/manga characters (yeah, like they won't make it to stripping or porn somehow down the road) seem to like this kind of music as well.  to hell with them.  japanese crazy music is the best.

i can't believe that what's his/her face said that i would know good 'ole albert in the dropping like flies thread.  he did always make me smile, though; that's all i know.

A few suggestions here:

 Air Formation
 57 Octaves EP

For starters to see if you like their sound, get this EP just for the song "For The Hours" which is one of my very favorite all time songs. "For The Hours" is not on any other release.
