3 roadies? gesh, even most bands at the black cat don't come with 3 roadies! well, i'm sure they'll be at the black cat by early spring so i'll check them out then.

Well I went, for what it's worth.  I was pretty much on the fence with them - I have the album but didn't really know what to think of it.  The show didn't convert me.  They were good at whatever it was they were trying to do, but I'm not sure what that was.

I personally think their slower tracks are weak, so I didn't really enjoy those (I just don't like how they're constructed - if that makes any sense). And for the faster tunes they turned into some sort of e-street band (and more than one person I know had this thought independently) knockoff.  Plus one person I was with couldn't get over the fact that the lead really DOES sound sort of like Rod Stewart.

Still, they obviously had charisma.  I think what it comes down to was that if you like this sort of thing, then this is the sort of thing you'd like.
