interesting. i did not know they changed. beforehand, i didn't think it was a horrible place to see a show, just kind of sterile. sounds like they've improved. every time they get a show i want to see (robbie fulks, kristin hersh) i have something at the velvet lounge to deal with.

So yeah...I should've taken your advice. Way too jammy at points were Akron/Family. The opener, Megafaun were great though; definitely worth looking into having them at the velvet sometime soon.
 
 
 I guess what swayed me toward the Akron show was the fact that I had someone to go with who I most likely couldn't have convinced to go to Nadja. I bet Nadja was devastatingly awesome.  :(
