I run (I cringe at the use of the word "jog") 25 miles a week, ride the exercise bike twice a week, and do weights three days a week, and can't seem to drop an ounce. I blame it on aging/slowing metabolism and my wife's cooking 50% of our meals.

By the way, weight loss/gain is a much more interesting topic than Justice.

Jogging, like marathons and Whole Foods, is a Stuff White People Like, eg it's a cultural fetish of the white herd but not necessarily the optimal thing to do.
I can't find the link but jogging and marathons were also listed on the "Stuff Kenyans Like" Blog

But how many glowsticks do you bring on runs with you?

Yeah, I like Justice, but I'll agree with that.

I feel there's a difference between "jogging," "running," and "sprinting." I "sprint" 100m in, I dunno, 12 seconds. I "run" a mile in under 6 minutes. I "jog" 6 miles in 46 minutes.

 If I full-out blasted 6 minute miles every day, I'd say I ran, but I don't, so I say I jogged.

never said i don't like the music.  i do like the music - that is why i'll be at the club tonight.  also never said i don't like the people (making fun of <> not liking), what i don't like is having so many packed in for what is obviously a dance show where space would be nice.  in my fantasy world, they'd only sell 700 tickets to tonight's show instead of 1200, or play a much larger GA venue where one could choose to find some dancing space at the back of the crowd.

i'm not in town on weekends.  i wasn't at the MEN show (whatever that was) at the BC.  1/4 full is too little, but definitely better than 110% full.  i try to limit my comments to shows that i've actually attended (i'll never be a writer for maxim  :( ).

last year, Hot Chip played a non-sold-out show at the 930, on a sunday evening i believe.  plenty of room to groove - it was awesome.

I don't think average Kenyans run or jog the way we do.  Like do they have running clubs with mapped out routes or women posting on CL looking for wiry men with runner's builds?

Elite Kenyans run marathons or do track and field to escape poverty.

Not a knock -- one's sense of comfortable space seems to increase with time on this planet.  Someone who saw the English Beat commented to me on how the older crowd at that show seemed especially sensitive about their space.  And some people, whatever their age, just feel uncomfortable with people too close.

I know going to Justice or MIA that the show will be packed like sardines.  How often do you get to return to the hot sweaty womb like that?  Not more than once every few months.

You've found and captured the lovely Mrs Charlie Nakatests.  If you were still single (and desperate??) like some of us, you'd figure out that personal magic weight loss recipe in a snap.
