Hoboken is technically NJ, but scene-wise it's NYC.  I think TMBG & Rosenbergs are also there. Otherwise there's:
 Misfits
 Electric Frankenstein
 Insomniacs
 Swinging Neckbreakers- lead singer is a Trenton NJ postman- his hub was the one that processed those anthrax letters
