El Grillo.  You can get to there via a door from the strip joint, but I'm guessing there's an outside door too.  I hear they have great burrito's but I was not going down that route as late as it was.  I was chatting up the owner and he's legit.  Not exactly a date place (unless you date the likes that I used to) but I bet it makes for a nice take home meal.  Mary's was pretty bad - they had some seasoned "pro's" - but there's a school teacher looking girl who was pretty hot and was rumored to kiss on the mouth and put her hand down your pants for the price of a lap dance.  I, however, cannot confirm this based on personal experience.

As for the baseball stadium, maybe, but I can't remember.  We did make our way out to McMenamins' Edgefield 17 hole par-three golf course modeled after Burningbush, the fantasy fairways from Michael Murphy's "Golf in the Kingdom."  I had my first hole in one at the 15th, near the "Garcia Bronze" a dramatic, tree-like sculpture honoring the late Grateful Dead guitarist.

I'm the same way. I've been here for almost a year (April 23!) and it's just one of those things. You check the weather before heading out to see how much rain is expected. If there's a lot of rain, I'll wear my rainjacket, if there's only a little, I'll just bring a hat.  :)

How do you know when someone's a tourist in Portland?

They carry an open umbrella....I swear, folks in DC will open their umbrella's for the lightest of mists. It's hillarious.

The Willie Week had a great report on cheap/good food stops a few weeks ago. There were a few Mexican joints in there, but I haven't tried them yet.
