I maintain that DMB got a bum rap among music buffs because of their popularity among people who generally don't care about music.
 
 Sure, the lyrics generally suck and his vocals get annoying ... but their musicianship is really top-notch, almost virtuoustic, and they write great songs ...
 
 then again, rush are great musicians.  and they suck.

 Nothing against any of these bands, there are only so many hours in day and I don't need to listen to them.
