yep, and that's a mistake too (much like moving the winnipeg jets to phoenix). . .i hear it's like playing baseball in a giant cooler during the summer.  although the pool behind the right-centerfield fence is a nice touch. [/b]
Should they have teams in Canada, because after all, it's cold up there?

I still think Hare Partridge is more tuneful.

And in Spring, there's no rain.  The rain comes in the summer, about 20 minutes EVERY afternoon.

ok, they shouldn't have 2 hockey teams either. . . florida really isn't that ideal, namely, it rains alot there.  that's why the devil rays play in one of the worst stadiums ever, and the marlins' play in one not much better.  they go down there for spring training because it's much warmer than, say. . boston in march.  teams also go to arizona for spring training. I know I'm not...but saying Florida shouldn't have a baseball team is a bit silly too don't you think?

then, let me put it this way. . . baseball should not have put teams in florida and arizona, because expansion was a terrible idea, both economically to the game, and has caused, in general, a watering down of talent.  the surge in runs scored and home runs was not solely due to steriod use, but can also be attributible to the decline in the amount of good pitchers in the major leagues thanks to the increase of teams.  it has taken nearly 10 years for quality pitching to show up again and be available to all teams.  course, the yankees will just buy all the good pitchers eventually.

that, and the fans in florida are terrible. . .and don't really care about the game itself.  sort of like dodger fans in l.a., show up late and leave early.

I agree.  Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas, Florida, Tampa, Atlanta, and any team in Cali should NOT be playing hockey.  I think we should get other countries into the NHL, like Sweden and Finland.
I guess that would make road trips expensive.

Cant wait for opening night tonight.

I think Manny was just kinda happy he finally got a hit and was kinda doing that like "thank god" kinda walk.  No harm as far as I'm concerned.
As for Lowe....i was too busy hugging people at the bar to see what he did, but shit, he saved the series, cut hiim some slack, he probably doesnt even know what he did!

Now don't be bitter.  It's not like you've lost 5 straight game 5's or anything...
