really good show! i was in the pit with a white 'billikens' shirt (my college mascot).

yes, the pit stank.  me and the lady friend walked down and immediately recognized the smell of wet shoes. it's what bars smell like after they banned smoking.

yes, ben used to be a little heavier.  every time i see him live it appears that he has lost weight.  of course, it could be all water weight -- that dude can sweat.  he was drenched by the end of the third song).

i also felt really old there.  i kept watching the text messages on the big billboard as they wished people a "happy 15th birthday."  also, it felt like a lot of concert n00bs.  "one more song!" -- it's like no one knows what a proper encore is!

the show was great, though, i thought.  rogue wave sounded good although zach looked kind of pissed at first.  the new death cab stuff sounds good but i was bummed not to hear "your new twin sized bed" or "we looked like giants."

also, it was hot as balls.

Yeah Rogue Wave didn't play "Eyes" which I have only heard once live.  Also I wanted to hear "Your heart is an empty room" from Death Cab but no dice.  Other then that still think it was a great show.  REM next on the show list.

Overall, I was pleased with the show, but outside of the new tracks from Narrow Stairs, they pretty much played the same tracks they played when i saw them in 2006. Maybe it's too much of a gripe, but they do have four+ albums worth of material. It's not like I'm complaining about Vampire Weekend playing the same sets or anything. Other than the new songs it only varied like 2 other songs.

I have the set list if anyone is interested. They always pull something pretty old out of their catalog. Last time I saw them it was President of What. This time it was Company Calls and Epilogue.

But yes. the pit was hot as hell and Ben Gibbard was sweating all over the place. In case you couldn't tell from my previous post - I can't stand Rogue Wave. So the Mr. and I hit 9:32 and checked out the art from thatguy and played Guitar Hero. Although, I feel sorta bad for the bartenders in there because there were only like 8 songs unlocked on the game and there are only so many times you can hear Slow Ride before this happens:

I still can't get into any of their records, save for like four songs, but Death Cab is always pretty good live...last night no exception.

Rogue Wave was decent as well.

Great show.  I have the set list as well if anyone wants it.  I am going to compare it to their bonnaroo gig this weekend, and i hope it is different.  They suprised me nby how few new songs they played.  They also suprised me by playing most of my favorites.  And thanks for the presale password Miss P, the seats were EXCELLENT.

Hey Seth.  Fly me out.  I'll unlock the whole game for you in under 2 hours.  Don't even need an audience.  It will be the best money you've ever spent on your bartending crew.

Then we talk about setting up Rock Band in 9:32.

True stories. I wish they had played you new twin size bed. Also, I wish they had hit up plans a little more. Maybe a little summer skin to start of the summer!

Have to disagree on the heat. Wasn't too hot where i was sitting. I could imagine the pit being horrible, but I was quite comfortable where I was at.
