Paltrow, who was once engaged to Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt (news - web sites) (news) and dated actor Ben Affleck (news), met Martin backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2002, but the couple have shied away from discussing their relationship in the media.

Affleck told People; "She had a really tough year. And it's so wonderful to see somebody get some happiness."
The couple have spent much of the past year in London, where Paltrow has been filming a movie about poet Sylvia Plath, called "Sylvia."
