Diana Krall Marries Elvis Costello

Jazz chanteuse Diana Krall has tied the knot with her beau of one year, Elvis Costello, in a wedding held outside London.

The pair was married Saturday night in a ceremony held at Elton John's castle, the Globe and Mail reported Tuesday.

The approximately 150 guests, who included Paul McCartney and Canada's consul general to New York, Pamela Wallin, were sworn to secrecy.

Krall, 39, and Costello, 49, live in New York and also have a home on Vancouver Island.

Krall's management company, Sam Feldman and Associates, did not return a call, and her music label declined comment on the report that the pair was married.

The marriage is a first for Krall. Costello's previous two marriages ended in divorce.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Gwyneth Paltrow (news) married her Coldplay lead singer boyfriend Chris Martin in a secret ceremony last week, just two days after announcing they were expecting a baby together, People magazine reported.

In a report to hit newsstands on Friday, People cited a source close to Paltrow as saying the pair married privately in the southern California seaside town of Santa Barbara on Dec. 5. The magazine said they then headed to Mexico for a honeymoon at the Cabo San Lucas resort.

Publicists for Paltrow, 31, and Martin, 26, declined to confirm or deny the report. People said no family members attended the wedding, which took place shortly after the couple applied for a marriage license.

Paltrow, who won an Oscar for "Shakespeare in Love" and Martin, who is British, have said little about the pregnancy except that the baby is due in the summer of 2004.

Paltrow, who was once engaged to Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt (news - web sites) (news) and dated actor Ben Affleck (news), met Martin backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2002, but the couple have shied away from discussing their relationship in the media.

Friends have said that Martin proved a huge support for Paltrow after the sudden death in October 2002 of her father, film director Bruce Paltrow (news).

Affleck told People; "She had a really tough year. And it's so wonderful to see somebody get some happiness."

The couple have spent much of the past year in London, where Paltrow has been filming a movie about poet Sylvia Plath, called "Sylvia."

I thought he was married to the Pogues' former bass player. I guess no longer, she should go back to the Pogues.
