Kasabian lash out at 'whingeing' Bloc Party Kasabian lash out at 'whingeing' Bloc Party
They're not the only band to get a battering
Kasabian have hit out the current music scene for being miserable.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno, speaking in this week's NME, singled out Bloc Party, saying: "they'll get rumbled."
"That's their thing, innit, concentrating on what's shit about life. In 20 years' time nobody will give a fuck about those bands," he said. "What's the point in whingeing? That's not what a band's about. A band should be about having a good time. With your mates."
As an example, the Leicester quartet slammed Test Icicles for splitting up.
Singer Tom Meighan said: "What a bunch of wankers! Give it up, mate. King's Cross rent boys, we call 'em - all those bands."
Kasabian also dubbed Pete Doherty "a fucking tramp" and The Automatic[/B] as "horrible", as they exclusively chatted to
NME about their new album and the rollercoaster two years since the release of their eponymous debut. Also in this week's
NME, we talk to [a]Muse about each track on their mega new album, review Thom Yorke's 'The Eraser' and present the maddest ever Peter Robinson Vs..., with Luke Steele from The Sleepy Jackson!
