yeah...you got that right on. Falkner's a little flaky, though...some of his sutff pretty good, others cheesy, hardly listenable IMHO

I would argue that the Velvet Crush is the best of what she bought. With Bigger Lovers and Minus 5 right behind.

I dont know a lot of what you bought. But I would still wager that the great eastern is the best. I think I might listen to it right now. [/b]

For 10cents: Joe Henry:Fuse 7.1 balls
For 10cents: a Virgin Megastore sampler (lots of Britpop) 5.5 balls
For $1 The Embarrassment: God Help Us. Fans of 1980's college radio may remember this band. 6.3 balls.

fuck man - I'd like to punch the idiot that sold Fuse back. It's one of the coolest things going.
Glad to see the nice  big balls rating.  :D   I knew you'd like him.

Not to worry..."Fuse" was one of those demo copies...so probably nobody sold it. Also picked up "Scar" awhile back...think I prefer Fuse, though I like "Kindness of the World" better than either of them.

Also picked up D Generration's "No Lunch" for 10 cents...5.6 balls...they were Jesse Malin's glam band before he went alt-country...not really my thing, but a few catchy numbers

So why are all these CDs so cheap?  Are they scratched or something?

Don't know why CD Game Excange sells things so cheap...anybody have a guess? Three of the four cd's i mentioned were demo thingies, and the fourth was 14 year old disk  from an obscure college rock band that probably nobody other than me would want. No scratches on any of them though.

I'll second Pollard's idea.  As long as CD Game Exchange has posters of Bob Marley smoking a spliff, Al Pacino shooting someone, and So Many Beers, So Little Time, it will be safe to assume that they have absolutely no idea what they're selling.  Thus, the cheap used prices.

I agree.

Unfortunatly the folks at Amoeba do know what they have.  I waited for weeks for the price of the Badly Drawn Boy Full length Live Promo to come down from $11, but when there was only two copies left I had to bite the bullet this weekend.
