I would like to install itunes 6 as itunes 7 has slowed my computer down.
No, I've done it quite often, but you might lose any rankings or play counts.

I've had a little better success running iTunes 7 on slower computers without the Album art.  That's what really hogs the RAM.

Earlier today I had some shuffle weirdness:

 1. Nina Simone - Black Is The Color Of My True Lover's Hair
 2. The Moog Cookbook - Black Hole Sun
 3. Squeeze - Black Coffee In Bed (live)
 4. Elliot Smith - Bled White

Otherwise, you will regret it....and there is no coming back.
Not true.  I fixed that thing in about 2 hours (from 3,000 miles away no less)!  :-)

Although, Jag's partially right - I don't recommend upgrading if you have WinME.  Of course I don't recommend running WinME either.

Any luck with your runtime error, nkotb? [/b]
You brought it back from the dead but it's still fucked up. But after all of that, I'm not touching it! It's those little mouse tricks and other weird things that keep happening that I'll just have to deal with. My computer is at the point where you learn to differentiate between little annoying problems and major functioning ones. I suspect that some of those issues are because that driver wasn't an exact fit for my system but right about now, that's the least of my concerns. Especially since the original isn't available.    ;)
