I had a feeling that was the case.  I saw a grainy version of the video on line.  All I remember is something about a rock school and Rush.

jesus, where do i start ... i must admit that i'm a bigger fan of their poppier stuff than their noise-y experiments

 sugarcube (my favorite)
 autumn sweater
 let's save tony orlando's house
 today is the day
 season of the shark
 moby octopad

that's just from their post-1997 stuff

and in my haste i believe i mis-spoke, i should have said their "ability to write and perform magnificent pop songs and also experiment with the forms and conventions of rock music"

ahhh, post-97 stuff.  after being forced to listen to "painful" and seeing a thoroughly uninteresting and painful to listen to live performance in 96, i washed my hands of them.  i just can't get out of my head the sight of ira and what's-his-name just walking from keyboard to keyboard, fiddling with knobs and taping down keys.

third.

also: chris cornell is a classically trained vocalist.  i've seen his version of ave maria bring people to tears.  his is one of the best voices in rock music.

I'm surprised the media still consider this prick news-worthy to be honest. Does anyone give a toss about him anymore....apart from his mum of course.
