 calvin johnson wanted the AC off, and calvin johnson wanted to go first instead of last. these were not our decisions. you have to honor the artist when they're going to perform, unless the request is completely unsuitable.
 
 also, phil elvrum is always apologizing for being "weird." it's part of his self-deprecating shtick. he seemed to have a good time when i talked to him afterwards. he's a strange bird.

yeah, i didn't really specify what i was referring to. but i'm surely not blaming the warehouse for anything. i was just talking about the vibe. it was really intimate, i liked it. but pretty different from a show at the black cat back stage, or velvet lounge. i thought the crowd was really into it, but couldn't really see that being pulled off at either of those places.
 
 calvin explained why he didn't want the AC on, cause it was blaring loud at ottobar the night before. that didn't bother me. i like his performance a lot.
