Is your game plan to try to say random stuff that will draw my ire? It isn't working, nice guy.

The timing of this sucks. I put up with cigarette smoke at shows for 20+ years, and the year that I'm planning on effectively retiring from going to clubs is the year they ban smoking. Great. But I guess I should be happy for the rest of the clubgoing DC audience.
Why the retirement?  Is it cuz you're planning a family?  Just cuz there's litte ones underfoot doesn't mean you never go out again. [/b]

It definately does...I have 2 kids....I guess that makes me a doubly super duper bad parent.  The least I could do is give the kids something better to sleep on than a straw mat on a dirt floor and newspapers for diapers.  Who can afford anything though with these 930 ticket prices!

They say that kid is 9 but just look at the picture....he's at least 10 or 11.  They would have been fine home alone for a few days.

Geez, ladies. Don't get so defensive. By the time I have a kid and (s)he's beyond infancy, I'll be well into my 40's. I don't envision myself going to club shows forever, so who knows if I'll even still have the desire. And having a wife who has minimal interest in going to shows (until I take her and she actually enjoys herself) doesn't exactly make concerts a hot date event...

That being said, good for you. Glad you can work the rock and roll into your schedules. More power to you.

One or two nights a year at best. What happened to "date night"? Gotta keep things new w/ the home fires burning, ya know? (for kid #2...    )

Who's being defensive?  I'm raising my kids natural style - and proud of it.

Well, depends. Rhett, does this mean you won't be coming around the fora in 2007?
Good thing it's not a U.S. Presidential election year. Worlds would collide!

Nah, one kid is going to be our limit. Don't you think one offspring of me will be a bad enough infliction on the world?   :D

I think my wife would appreciate a date night consisting of me cooking for her and giving her a massage more than any possible shows, anyway.

Hey, Sophie and Henry paid for that themselves with their milk and clothing allowance.  I had nothing to do with it!
