thanks for the link ... they used to have one of the coolest / most unique band websites i'd ever seen (http://www.ilovem83.com), it was basically all MS-DOS prompts ... but for some reason they stripped it into that crap they have up now.

whew, i'm really digging it so far ... gotta love the synth washes ... i have a serious guilty pleasure for this bombastic stuff, i think an upcoming rush obsession is in my horoscope for this week

Ahh....M83, my love of the past two years.  The new LP has its moments of cheese, but I for one, don't mind it as M83's sound is droning and immensely beautiful.  Even some terrible lyrics and cheesy melodies can't even ruin it for me.  Check out their first self-titled LP as well, it's fantastic.
 
 Oh, and I just saw they will be at the Black Cat in April.

did you like destroyer's "your blues"? that was all synth stuff, but not quite in the same vein as m83.

It's good. It's like MBV with synths.  It's totally worth picking up.
