who's going? I'm not because although I like them, I know Stipe is going to be bitching all night about the election.

oh man, I'm there.  I'll never pass them up, always an amazing show.  I think Stipe will keep it under control, I bet he let it all out during the MoveOn shows. In any case it'll be an awesome show as usual.

Now you, being an R.E.M. fan, should know much better than that.

I'm there.  Unfortunately, since REMs fanbase has "grown up" you'll hear a lot of boos and "four more years" crap during Stipe's politcal rants.

During last year's show at the Patriot Center he made some comment about fucking hating the current administration and got some boos.

Not going...didn't find someone to go with, then didn't get tickets.  I'm kinda sad, cuz it's in a smaller place. But, I'll live through it...

i'll go if i can scroung some tickets for $30 and under that are not crap seats. i'm not paying face value for this show.

but there is nothing available on craig's list or ebay right now. i might hang out in front of the venue and see if anyone is selling extras.

Saw the box seats -- I guess it's a good thing I didn't get tickets earlier.  I'm on the verge of a migraine and I have way more work than I can finish in a day....blech.

believe me, i think $70 is waaaay overpriced.  but given they have sold out the venue apparently the pricing is about right.  since i havent missed a tour since Green in 1988, the pull of seeing them again was too much.  i had great tickets on the Green tour and they were $15. DAR is the smallest venue in a long time though, so that's a plus.

Well, that turned out to be the greatest concert going experience of my life.  Some guy appraoched me offering a backstage pass if I traded seats with him. yeah, not sure what he was thinking.  So I end up schmoozing with the whole band (minus Stipe who was being introduced to all the vip's).  Ken Stringfellow was there as well and informed me that the Posies are going to be touring in the near future. Unbelieveable!!!  Can anyone top that?
