Kill the fetus. However, don't kill the convicted murderer.
If the former is hypocritical, the latter certainly is as well. Don't lose sight of that. [/b]
Wrong. A fetus is not a life. A convicted felon, even a retarded one, is a life.
I respect life, which means I believe every life should have a chance at health care, education, a job with a living wage, the right to its own religion/life partner. The death penalty is about revenge -- don't think Jesus would be too in to that.
The reason pro-lifers are hypocritical on this is their support of the "sanctity of life" -- even a felon is a life. A life is a life. If they believe a fetus is a life, there's certainly proof, then, that a felon is a life. Even scientific proof of that one.
Oh, maybe it's that the fetus hasn't had a chance to sin against Jesus yet, so it's a more worthy life.
Oops, but isn't a life a life...? Who's to judge worthiness...?
summerteeth -- don't take this as a personal flame; I saw your second post, I'm not trying to attack you -- sorry if it comes off that way. But I don't think it's an apples to apples hypocrisy argument.
