hot damn, that was a fantastic show. 6 hours of non stop music. we swung tickets late in the game that were kinda crappy seats, but since no one was sitting where they were supposed. we moved over and had good seats. hell, i don't anyone sat down once tc went on stage until they slid their butts into their car seats. quite the site of dancing folks all over.
i think bebel needs to get booked at the 930 club. she'd probably sell the place out and she would do much better in a smaller venue. i liked her, but it was getting lost in a crowd that large.
now, tc, they could play to 50k or 50 people and still blow the roof off that joint. wow. they never cease to amaze. (and i'm running out of appendanges large and small to count the amount of times i've seen them) the folks next to us came down from manhattan on a whim, never seeing tc before and were balled over.
what albums do you recommend for manu chao? i much prefer the reggae influenced pieces over the harder pieces. great performance, but not always my kind of music.
parked at the mall, easy in, easy out.
MOST excellent day.
