Actually, the Pumpkins played on November 20th and 21st, 1993 at WUST. Swervedriver opened and they were phenomenal. I went to the first show and it was pretty wild. There was the most massive crowd surge when they opened with "Geek USA" and at one point towards the end Billy had a massive tantrum and walked out. We didn't think he would come back for the encore, but thankfully he did and he lightened up by that point. I recall that tickets sold out relatively fast, but it took a few days for both shows to go. Nirvana played the week before at Bender Arena and it was grossly overscalped, whereas NOBODY was selling tickets for the Pumpkins outside the show and thus people were paying over $100 for scalped tickets. I remember seeing Jimmy Chamberlain just walking around before the show and nobody even went up to him or anything. Lots and lots of crowd-surfing at that show, but it was a fun time and the band sounded great. They were playing all their songs at like twice the normal speed.
