Yeah, what a dick. Giving things away to people who thought they were only buying a concert ticket. At a ticket price about $30 lower than the band could have gotten away with charging. At a club about 4000 people smaller than the band could have played.
Total asshole.
Give me a break. This show was already a highly anticipated, exclusive show as you can tell from all the frenzy on this board. So the 1000 tickets are pretty exclusive to begin with. But then to take the first 200 through the door and make them MORE exclusive is just stupid. It's not like making another 800 t-shirts was going to break the bank.
Please. Give it a rest with all this "pious" Billy Corgan crap. Billy Corgan is blessing the poor lost souls of Washington D.C. with an "almighty rock" performance! Afterwards you'll have to line up to great him like the pope. Make sure you kiss his ring. So we are supposed to be eternally grateful that Billy Corgan is only charging $35 for his version of "Billy and The Pumpkins" that is esentially a record release party for an album that no one is going to buy? All hail Saint Corgan!
Hey, listen. A year from now, when you see "Zeitgiest" in the used bin at the local CD shop, ask if the release show buttons come with it.
Some of you have your heads so far up your rectums it's not even funny.
"Total asshole." You're right. Billy Corgan is.
