i hate people, fucking Prison Break?, jesus

The cult hit, but generally not viewed, Fox comedy Arrested Development has had its episode order cut down from 22 segments to just 13, which certainly does not bode well for the critically beloved sitcom. Additionally, the show has been pulled from the Fox schedule for the remainder of November, with the network preferring to run their drama Prison Break during the impending sweeps period.

Variety reports that Arrestedâ??s fellow Monday night comedy on Fox, newcomer Kitchen Confidential, has also been pulled for sweeps and its producers have been told that the show will not receive a full season pickup. Meanwhile, ABCâ??s Freddie is getting a full season, it has been announced, so thereâ??s a little of the old insult-to-injury for all you Arrested fans.

Both Fox shows will return to the schedule on December 5, and then in January House is expected to move into their Monday night timeslot.

c'mon, the real shock is that it actually got to a third season. undeclared and freaks and geeks weren't nearly so lucky.

Very true. Arrested Development was fantastic, and always deserved better. I thought that the Emmy would have given it a boost, but I guess not.

File that along with Undeclared and Keen Eddie as shows I loved that were cancelled too soon...

This truly sucks!  Remember, most of this season was not shown anyway due to the Baseball playoffs and World Series which aired on Fox.  Personally, David Cross made the show for me....How sad.

Any chance it could picked up anywhere else? Cable? HBO? Any chance the cast would want to?

CNN.com says:

There is a possibility that the show will be shopped around, but its high cost is expected to be prohibitive for a cable network.

When ANY show gets moved to a slot when football is on, they lose. They must have seen this coming. MNF is usually the best game of the week.
